Like the community we serve, the health care team at Columbia Memorial Hospital is made up of diverse individuals with unique talents. Working together we focus our efforts on a common vision: We are passionate about providing the highest quality health care experience possible through excellence, partnership, innovation and communication. We embrace an integration of biological, social, intellectual, spiritual and environmental services that supports the mind, body and spirit of our patients and staff.

In a perfect world, that would mean that physicians and patients confidently choose CMH because they know patients would receive the highest quality services in a safe and pleasant environment where skilled staff are attentive and compassionate.

That would also would mean that associates are proud to work at CMH because it offers an environment where they are empowered to perform to the best of their abilities, supported by the resources they need and recognized for their efforts.

It would also mean the community of the Columbia Coast would count CMH as a valued asset that contributes to the high quality of life in Astoria and the North Coast. The community would support the hospital with generous donations of time and money.

While this describes the ideal, it’s not that different from the CMH of today. We are guided by a Board of Trustees whose vision is setting a bold course for the future. We benefit from the expertise of a dedicated Medical Staff. We attract and retain outstanding associates who are dedicated to our mission to provide excellence, leadership and compassion in the enhancement of health for those we serve. We appreciate our volunteers who so generously devote their time and talents. And we are grateful to a community that financially supports our efforts with their private donations. We cannot provide the quality of health care services the community expects and deserves without the leadership and support of many.
