Critical Care

criticalcare1.jpgCritical Care provides services to patients of all ages in the acute high risk phase of a surgical incident or medical illness or injury. Staffed with personnel highly trained and motivated to provide quality critical care nursing, the CCU has 6 private rooms and the capability to monitor telemetry patients within the unit or on Med/Surg. Registered nurses provide 24 hour staffing daily and all are required to maintain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), TEAM/TNCC (trauma) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications. Any staff physician may admit directly to the unit within the scope of their practice, credentialing, and in accordance with pertinent bylaws and policies. The admitting physician retains complete responsibility for the supervision of the treatment of that patient, working closely with the nursing staff, consulting physicians, and ancillary departments.

It is important that your provider know what medications you are on. Please click here and download a copy of our Medication Information Form. Fill it out and bring a copy with you when visiting any healthcare provider. It is a good idea to make copies of the form and carry one with you at all times.
