Cardiopulmonary Services provides respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients, Emergency Department patients and same-day surgery patients. A respiratory therapist is in-house seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. A therapist is available within 30 minutes response time from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days a week.
In addition to diagnostic procedures, RT’s provide:
- Medication aerosol therapy.
- Mechanical ventilation.
- Oxygen therapy.
- Arterial blood gases.
- Smoking cessation.
- Airway clearance therapy.
- Patient education.
Diagnostic services include:
- 2-D echocardiography.
- Cardiac exercise stress testing.
- Cardiac holter monitoring.
- 12-lead electrocardiogram.
- Pulmonary function testing.
- Electroencephalography (EEG).
The hospital also offers a variety of education programs including classes on smoking cessation and dealing with asthma.
All therapists are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Fill it out and bring a copy with you when visiting any health care provider. It is a good idea to make copies of the completed form and carry one with you at all times.
