A team effort for community

Buffalo Bills safety and Astoria High School alumnus Jordan Poyer team up

With the challenges life throws at us, at times even the strongest need help to keep going. And we all, as individuals, face these difficulties in different ways. It's why, for generations, we at Columbia Memorial Hospital have been offering person-centered care to our community.

To meet your exact needs in the best way possible, in an ever-changing health care environment, we're always looking to improve on what we do.

We’re excited to have partnered with Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer, an alumnus of our own Astoria High School, to demonstrate the need for access to quality, future-ready health care in a rural area.

“It’s been great to see Jordan’s football career develop from his time at Astoria High School to the NFL. We’re so proud of him and his success on the field," says Mark Kujala, director of the CMH Foundation.

"But more importantly, Jordan recognizes how essential access to quality health care is in rural communities. At CMH, we’re very fortunate to have Jordan as a long-term partner in growing our services in Clatsop County.”

With a nearly 100-year history in the region, growth requires teamwork. We're delighted to have the generous support of Jordan, Oregon's NFL superstar. While Jordan is a renowned master in overcoming challenges on the gridiron, he has also had to deal with problems off the field. Similar to his many football successes, his defeat of alcoholism needed a team effort.

He could not have done it without dedicated care and attention from both loved ones and professionals. It's this same constant care and attention that helped Jordan overcome his obstacles that we at CMH pride ourselves on.

As we look toward the future and think about the growth of our hospital and health system, teamwork, wellness, community and remembering where it all started will be at the heart of everything we do.

Jordan chose CMH as his cause for the NFL's "My Cause My Cleats" program in 2022-23. Learn more and bid on the cleats at nflauction.nfl.com.
