Ways to Give

Philanthropy is an important element in ensuring that Columbia Memorial Hospital can offer patients the most advanced care possible and provide community programs that help maintain the health of those we serve. You can be part of our lifesaving mission. Please consider supporting programs, services and equipment through one of the ways summarized here. Of course, we are happy to answer any questions you might have or provide more information.

There are many ways to support the life-changing work of CMH. From a one-time capital contribution to annual cash donations to gifts given through your estate, dollars entrusted to the Foundation can be designated either to the donor's specific area of interest or to annual priorities.

Designate your gift

Consider designating your gift to our annual priorities — Greatest Impact Fund — or to a program or service that has made an impact on your life and/or the lives of those you love.

Annual gifts sustain ongoing programs. With the cost of patient care, services, pharmaceuticals, highly skilled caregivers and shrinking reimbursement, CMH depends on annual gifts. You can choose to make an unrestricted gift to be used in the area of greatest impact. Or you may ask that your gift benefit an area that is especially meaningful to you and/or your loved ones.

Planned gifts offer the opportunity to make a gift that expresses a donor's values and long-term philanthropic interests. Bequests allow you to make a lasting legacy when you remember CMH Foundation in your will or living trust. We are happy to work with you and your advisors to include CMH Foundation in your will, in your trust, your IRA, as a beneficiary of your life insurance or the gift vehicles.

Capital gifts support increased capacity, access to advanced care or equipment. Periodically, capital campaigns are conducted to meet global changes and to reach new levels of care to serve the growing needs of a growing community. Capital donations can provide opportunities for name recognition of a family or individual.

Endowment gifts are an especially rewarding way of giving. The funds are invested and the resulting interest provides ongoing income for the purpose designated by the donor. Endowment funds may support a particular program or a specific department in perpetuity. Endowments can be named for the donor or for a person of the donor's choosing.
