CMH celebrates first anniversary of Seaside Clinic

CMH Medical Group & Urgent Care – Seaside opened in mid-February/early March 2020
ASTORIA, Ore. – Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) is pleased to celebrate the one-year anniversary of CMH Medical Group & Urgent Care – Seaside, located in the Seaside Outlet Mall. Despite opening on the cusp of the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-February, the clinic saw nearly 7,000 patient visits in 2020.
Throughout last year, the clinic added services and specialties and now sees patients for primary care, urgent care, podiatry, medical oncology, women’s health, pediatrics, pharmacy, lab, social work and imaging services. There were 1,514 new patient visits to the clinic in 2020.
"We already had patients traveling from Gearhart, Seaside and Cannon Beach to see our providers," said Erik Thorsen, CEO. "With the new clinic, our vision was to make taking care of your health easier and more convenient, creating a one-stop shop that cares for the whole person."
The clinic’s medical team is made up of several Seaside-based providers and rotating specialists. They are supported by other professionals who work with patients to help them reach health and wellness goals.
Schacher says patients frequently comment on the beautiful facility, designed with CMH’s Planetree philosophy in mind, convenient location and hours, and access to quick, efficient care.
The expansion has provided new, family-wage jobs in Seaside, with almost half of the caregivers working residing in South County. The Urgent Care is open seven days a week, with other services offered Monday through Friday.
