Pfizer vaccine available for children ages 6 months to 5 years old on July 14

On July 14, 2022, CMH will hold a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination event for children ages 6 months to 5 years old. The event will be held at the CMH-OHSU Health Pediatric Clinic (2265 Exchange St., Astoria) from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

The FDA authorized the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination for young children last week. The clinic event is open to any child in the community ages 6 months to 5 five years old who their parent or guardian accompanies. Children do not need to be established patients at CMH.

There are 56 slots available for the event. Prior registration is required at the following link: https://www.columbiamemorial.org/vaccine-clinic. CMH will send a confirmation email after registration.

All children will need to wait with an adult in the clinic conference room for 15 minutes following their vaccination. The Pfizer vaccine requires three doses, and more information about follow-up doses will be given at the event.

If you are unable to attend, vaccination appointments can be made with the CMH-OHSU Health Pediatric Clinic, CMH-OHSU Health Primary Care Clinics in Astoria, Seaside and Warrenton, or the Clatsop County Health Department. The COVID vaccine may be given alongside other vaccines.

If you have general questions about the event, please call the Pediatric Clinic at 503-325-7337. If you have specific clinical questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, please contact your primary care provider.
