CMH Unveils New, Interactive and User-Friendly Website

ASTORIA, Ore. – On November 16, 2021, Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) will go live with a newly designed website providing a more user-friendly experience to the patients and employees of CMH.
"We wanted to tell the story of the unique patient experience offered by CMH as exemplified by the organization's person-centered approach to care and Planetree gold certification," said Nancee Long, CMH director of communication. "It was also imperative to make it easier for health care consumers to accomplish essential tasks like finding providers, locations, services, and jobs.”
The new website features many upgraded options:
- Location awareness: CMH's locations are highlighted on a user-friendly locations page. Health care consumers can quickly sort by the location type, city, or services offered. Sites can also be filtered according to a searcher's location or preferred ZIP code.
- The cutting-edge Provider Directory is designed to be easy to use on mobile with detailed filtering options that can be toggled with a single tap. Locations can also be filtered according to a searcher's location or preferred ZIP code.
- An intelligent search tool auto-suggests services, providers, and locations as someone types in the search box. Services are keyword- and synonym-tagged for easy discovery. Real-world examples include a user searching for "heart" and seeing results for "cardiology," "cardiac rehabilitation," and "emergency room."
- Engaging health education content: The new site includes Coffey's Health Information Library and e-newsletters, which offer interesting health news, videos, and interactive infographics, assessments, quizzes, and calculators.
