CMH Welcomes Dr. Whitney Latham to CMH Medical Group – Seaside

(ASTORIA, Ore.) — CMH is pleased to welcome board-certified pediatrician Dr. Whitney Latham, DO, who joined CMH Medical Group & Urgent Care – Seaside this week.

"When we expanded in Seaside last year, we knew we wanted to improve health care access for kids in South Clatsop County," says Nicole Williams, CMH Chief Operating Officer. "We're delighted to have Dr. Latham join our team in Seaside as our first full-time pediatrician as we continue to add more specialties in the years to come."

Dr. Latham previously worked in Tulsa, Okla., where she was a clinical associate professor of pediatrics for Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. At OSU-CHS, she provided outpatient and Level I nursery care for OSU Pediatrics, inpatient care as a pediatric hospitalist for the St. Francis Children's Hospital, and also was active in pediatric intern/resident and medical student education. She was an attending physician for current CMH Astoria pediatrician Dr. Emily Pirmann during her residency in Oklahoma.

"With my new position at CMH Seaside, I'm excited to be in a community where my family can put down roots and my kids can grow up," Latham says. "After spending time in academia, I know I'm a clinic pediatrician at heart and am thrilled to get back to a core pediatrics role. I'm looking forward to getting to know more people in the area and bringing great pediatric care to Seaside."

Dr. Latham earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from OSU-CHS, in addition to completing her residency and internship there. She takes special medical interest in newborn care, early childhood development, nutrition and wellness.

When she isn't working, Dr. Latham enjoys spending time outside with her husband, Benji, and their two young boys. She also loves to cook and run (not at the same time).
