Awards

CMH is honored to have been recognized with the following recent awards, certifications and accreditations:

American College of Radiology Accreditation - Radiation Oncology (2025)

The CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in radiation oncology as the result of a review by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in 2025.

The ACR is the nation’s oldest and most widely accepted radiation oncology accrediting body, with over 700 accredited sites, and 30 years of accreditation experience. The ACR seal of accreditation represents the highest level of quality and patient safety. It is considered the gold standard in medical imaging.

ACR accreditation is awarded only to facilities meeting specific Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards developed by ACR after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified radiation oncologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Patient care and treatment, patient safety, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed.

CHIME Most Wired Level 7 (2025)

For the 12th time, in 2025, CMH became the recipient of an annual award that recognizes excellence in health care information technology (IT). Each year, CMH participates in the College of Health Information Management Executives' Digital Health Most Wired program survey, which recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in digitally enabled health care. CMH is proud to announce its achievement of Level 7 recognition for both acute and ambulatory care levels.

As healthcare organizations continue to face complex challenges in rising cybersecurity threats, evolving care models, workforce shortages, and budget constraints, the need to accelerate digital transformation has never been more urgent.

The Digital Health Most Wired survey serves as a comprehensive evaluation and digital maturity report card for health care organizations across the globe. As success in digital transformation increasingly influences the quality and accessibility of care, this recognition program reflects the progress of leading health care providers as they reshape the future of health care.

Oregon Rural Health Excellence Award - Critical Access Hospital Category (2025)

In early October 2025, CMH was given the Oregon Rural Health Excellence Award in the Critical Access Hospital category at the 42nd annual Oregon Rural Health Conference.

The award was given for a project submitted by CMH’s Patient Experience team: Meaningful Language Access Initiatives Improve the Hispanic and Latino Patient Experience. The project was spearheaded by the Patient Experience department and aimed to improve meaningful language access for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients.

As a result of the changes made at CMH, the team has seen a marked increase in Hispanic patient experience scores, exceeding those of non-Hispanic patient scores.

The scoring committee found the application well written and specifically noted that they appreciated the use of data to identify the need, as well as community engagement and the scalability and potential for other organizations to develop similar programs in other communities.

Commission on Cancer Accreditation (2023)

In September 2023, the CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative received its second three-year accreditation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC).

The multi-year effort and recognition for the Cancer Center demonstrates the organization’s commitment to high-quality, coordinated care. The CoC surveyor was complimentary of the entire program but especially noted the dedication of the oncology team and the value of the Cancer Center’s service to the community.
