Use of robot facilitates OHSU collaboration

CMH is adding Critical Care intensivist services to the team of staff who provides care to patients in our Critical Care department.

During a patient's stay, a CMH hospitalist will collaborate with an intensive care specialist, or intensivist, located at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland to ensure they are receiving the highest level of intensive care services we can provide locally.

While in Critical Care, the hospitalist may use a rolling robot to allow the OHSU physician to see and hear patients, as well as participate in care at the bedside. The CMH hospitalist and nursing staff can contact the OHSU provider as needed for consultation on patients' care.
