CMH announces Spirit of Care Award winners

CMH is pleased to announce social worker Paige Sutton and Pediatric nurse practitioner Misha Caldwell as the winners of the 2022 Spirit of Care Awards.
Spirit of Care Award winners are chosen annually from nominations based on the care they consistently show at CMH. This year’s Spirit of Care Awards received many nominations.
Paige Sutton was the caregiver winner and joined CMH in 2019. Her nomination included the following comment:
“Paige goes above and beyond to help our patients with the coordination of their medical and behavioral health care, as well as with community partners to address basic needs, such as housing and access to showers. Paige is also a huge support to our CMH providers and caregivers; she has helped many of them learn how to better interact with patients with severe mental illness, helping them identify when they are being triggered by patient situations, and has helped them access counseling services.”
Misha Caldwell, PNP-BC, joined the CMH-OHSU Health Pediatric Clinic in October 2016. A comment included in her nomination stated:
“I could name countless stories that prove Misha’s commitment to person-centered care. She is consistently adding patients onto her already very busy schedule, adjusting her schedule as needed by patients/parents/clinic, coming in to work on her days off, covering for other providers who are out of the office and always ensuring the clinic and patients’ needs are met first. … She should be recognized for her dedication and commitment to the organization and to her patients and fellow caregivers.”
Spirit of Care Award winners are honored with a display on the wall near the hospital cafeteria.
