CMH-OHSU Health Cardiology Clinic welcomes new cardiologist

Kevin Wei, MD, has 35 years of post-graduate experience

CMH is pleased to welcome Kevin Wei, MD, who has joined the CMH-OHSU Health Cardiology Clinic.

Dr. Wei is also a professor of medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, where he has taught since 2011. He has been teaching as medical faculty since 1997, previously serving as a professor at the University of Virginia.

“I am excited to join the Cardiology team at CMH and work to improve the cardiovascular health of Oregonians and Washingtonians,” he says.

He earned a medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. He completed residencies in internal medicine and cardiology through the University of Toronto, as well.

Dr. Wei later completed a clinical/research fellowship in echocardiography with The Toronto Hospital at the University of Toronto and a contrast echocardiography research fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He holds board certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography, in addition to a comprehensive certification in adult echocardiography.

Areas of special medical interest to Dr. Wei are valvular disease, echocardiography and contrast echocardiography.
