Columbia Memorial Hospital is pleased to share its 2022 Annual Report.

The report reflects on 2022 successes and challenges for the hospital and Clatsop County residents. A series of 12 articles are featured, with each article focusing on how CMH worked to help improve and support the community.

“2022 marked the first year since the COVID-19 pandemic where the community was able to come together in-person once again for several events that had been put on hiatus,” says Erik Thorsen, CEO. “Though COVID-19 was still a large focus for our hospital, throughout the year, we were able to further strengthen bonds in the community and move forward.”

In 2022, CMH focused on providing community programs, and supporting regional organizations and events. CMH is proud to have supported the community in a variety of ways, many of which have continued through 2023. Examples include hosting the Astoria Regatta block party, donating baskets of food during Christmas, and donating life-saving devices to local firefighting districts, among others.

“In 2022, CMH provided millions in free care and financial assistance to patients,” Thorsen says. “In addition, we gave $350,000 in contributions to local organizations, with a focus on improving access to childcare and enhancing health. More than 2,300 volunteer hours were recorded by CMH caregivers.”

CMH is proud to support Clatsop County and is dedicated to helping people live their healthiest lives. To learn more about CMH’s community-focused work and view the report, please click here: https://www.columbiamemorial.org/annual-reports/2022-annual-report/.
