Bike ride supports the American Lung Association
ASTORIA, Ore. — Columbia Memorial Hospital is partnering with the American Lung Association to bring “Reach the Beach Oregon,” a cycling event, to Astoria on Saturday, May 17.
During the event, cyclists and bike riders will travel from Sauvie Island, Vernonia, Jewell or rural Clatsop County and finish their trek in Warrenton at Fort Stevens State Park.
CMH is the Community Wellness Sponsor of the event. The sponsorship ties to CMH’s mission statement, “We help people live their healthiest lives.”
To promote community wellness, CMH is hosting three events through the weekend.
Cancer Resource Center Open House
An open house will be held at the CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative Resource Center on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The public is invited to learn more about the Resource Center, which is available for patients at the Cancer Collaborative and includes ample educational resources, such as a lending library. Everything there is complementary to patients receiving care at the Cancer Collaborative.
