Event will feature music, food, free kids' zone and health fair

Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) is pleased to announce that it will host the Regatta Square Block Party again this year during the 2025 Astoria Regatta festival.

The block party will be held at the public parking lot on 12th Street, between Duane and Exchange Streets, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9. People can enjoy the event before and after the Grand Land Parade finishes in downtown Astoria.

Regatta Square keeps the fun going under the sun and will include a live DJ, free kids’ zone with inflatables, a Medix Ambulance to check out, face painting, caricatures, a BBQ family-friendly lunch for sale, and a health fair featuring your local CMH medical experts and community organizations.

Cheer on swimmers at Swim Across the Columbia this Saturday before Regatta weekend

Swimmers and kayakers have been training for the Swim Across the Columbia, a six-mile adventure swim across the Columbia River from Knappton Cove, Wash., to the Maritime Museum in Astoria.

The swim will be held before the official start of Regatta, this Saturday, July 19.

Help support the swimmers and kayakers finishing the river crossing at the plaza outside the Maritime Museum from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday. There will be pastries and fresh fruit available from the Astoria Co-op and freshly roasted coffee available for purchase from All Good Coffee Co. The Astoria Regatta will also have merchandise for this year’s festival available for purchase as this year’s Regatta season is officially kicked off.
