CMH is pleased to welcome Dave Cantrell, PA-C, as a new full-time provider in the CMH-OHSU Health Cardiology Clinic.
“In a time when medical care is increasingly being consolidated, it is exciting to join a health care system that has found innovative ways to stay true to its values and the community it serves,” Dave says.
Prior to joining CMH, Dave worked at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. During his career, he has also worked at health care organizations in Washington state and Idaho, as a physician assistant, registered nurse, flight paramedic and paramedic.
Dave earned his master’s of physician assistant studies degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He earned his bachelor’s in clinical health services from the University of Washington School of Medicine’s MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program.
“I bring 20 years of experience as a physician assistant in cardiology, providing care in busy referral centers in the Pacific Northwest,” Dave says. “I look forward to using that training and experience to help expand cardiovascular health care to the region that Columbia Memorial Hospital serves.”
Dave’s professional interests include cardiovascular disease with a specific interest in heart rhythm disorders and management. He is board-certified and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Dave enjoys spending his free time with his family doing outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, gardening and woodworking.
“My family has always been fond of Oregon’s North Coast and we relish the opportunity to explore the rich culture and outdoor activities that the region is known for,” Dave says.
