CMH welcomes new hospitalist
Please join us in welcoming Kenneth Starks, MD, to CMH. Dr. Starks began working as a hospitalist (a doctor who treats inpatients at the hospital) this week.
"I love all aspects of medicine," Dr. Starks says. "I am most interested in joining the team at CMH who by reputation are very skilled, being able to balance care in a somewhat isolated area."
Dr. Starks most recently worked for Foundation Health Partners in Fairbanks, Alaska. There, he worked as a hospitalist, intensivist and medical director for a hospitalist group.
During Dr. Starks’ career, he also worked at his own practice, as well as other hospitals and medical systems in Alaska and Texas. He has served as a medical director for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Foundation Health Partners and Northern Hospitalist Associates.
Dr. Starks earned his medical degree and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. He worked as an assistant professor of internal medicine and completed his residency and internship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Starks is board-certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and Society of Critical Care.
Welcome, Dr. Starks!
