Daniel Fabiano, MD, joins CMH-OHSU Health Orthopedic Clinic
CMH is pleased to welcome Daniel Fabiano, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, who began working in the CMH-OHSU Health Orthopedic Clinic this week.
Fabiano has more than 25 years of orthopedic experience in total joints, knees, hips, shoulders, trauma and general orthopedics. He spent most of his medical career at the Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa, P.C., in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
“As a physician and surgeon, I have found an immense sense of fulfillment,” he says. “It's a profound honor when individuals entrust their health and wellbeing to my care, allowing me to apply my training and expertise for their benefit.”
Fabiano has completed over 500 procedures using Stryker Mako SmartRobotics™ technology. CMH’s team of three orthopedic surgeons will begin using the system for robotic-assisted total joint surgeries in August.
“I like doing robotic surgery. It would’ve been hard to give that up and go somewhere that didn’t have that,” he explains. “No other robotic technology compares to Stryker’s. It’s pretty much becoming the standard. It’s very exciting for me that CMH is starting its own program. That shows me that the hospital wants to be on top of its game at all times.”
Fabiano did his fellowship in sports medicine and knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery at Matthews Orthopedic Clinic, Orlando Regional Medical Center/The Florida Hospital. Before starting his fellowship, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois Hospital and earned his degree from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
Fabiano is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
