CMH was pleased to welcome several full-time new providers last month.
Matthew Dehning, NP, Orthopedic Clinic
Board-certified orthopedic nurse practitioner, Matthew Dehning, NP, joined the CMH-OHSU Health Orthopedic Clinic. Most previously, he worked at the Portland VA Medical Center, where he spent the last 13 years as an orthopedic nurse practitioner.
Dehning earned his master’s of science degree in nursing from Washington State University. He also has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Linfield College and a second bachelor’s degree in business communications and management from Concordia College. Dehning is especially interested in orthopedic sports medicine, including total hip, knee and shoulder replacements, acute injuries and both clinical and surgical environments.
“I am very excited about working in a rural, coastal community steeped in Scandinavian tradition,” Dehning says. “We chose the Astoria area to relocate for a higher quality of life, and so we could take long walks on the beach and enjoy the scenery.”
Patients can call 503.338.4075 to make an appointment with the CMH-OHSU Health Orthopedic Clinic.
