The DAISY Award is given quarterly at CMH to extraordinary nurses
CMH proudly announces Nick Casebeer as its most recent recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Casebeer is a nurse in the Family Birth Center and was recognized for his professionalism and compassion. Casebeer was nominated by a family member of a patient for the DAISY Award.
The nomination read:
"Nick was our nurse in the maternity ward while my fiancé was giving birth to our daughter, and we could not have asked for better care. From the very beginning, he demonstrated an incredible balance of professionalism and genuine compassion. His kindness helped put us at ease during such an emotional and overwhelming time, and his calm, reassuring presence made all the difference.
“Nick took the time to answer every question thoroughly and never once made us feel rushed. He anticipated our needs, explained each step of the process clearly, and went above and beyond to ensure both my fiancé and our baby were safe and comfortable. His attentiveness and dedication were evident in everything he did, and we felt truly cared for every step of the way.
“We are so grateful for the role he played in one of the most important moments of our lives. Nurses like Nick exemplify what it means to provide outstanding patient care, and we will always remember the compassion and professionalism he showed our family."
Casebeer will be featured on the DAISY Foundation website and will have the opportunity to apply for scholarships as part of his recognition.
The DAISY Foundation, established in 1999 in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, recognizes extraordinary nurses who exemplify exceptional care to patients and their families.
