Swim Across the Columbia - Notice to boaters and anglers

Columbia Memorial Hospital and the Astoria Regatta are partnering to offer an exciting event, a five-mile Swim Across The Columbia, on Sunday, August 11, from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The swim is occurring during the Buoy 10 fishery on the Columbia River. Below is a flyer with more information for boaters and anglers. Notice to boaters and anglers Open water adventure swim occurring: 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Sunday, August 11. Please be advised a small group of swimmers will be in the Columbia River, swimming from Knappton Cove (WA) to the Maritime Museum in Astoria. Swimmers will have bright caps, buoys and a cadre of support boats and jet skis. The group is working with local agencies, including the Coast Guard, ODFW and the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office.
