Biography
Kelly Peekstok, MD, MPH, began working at CMH as a temporary physician in the CMH-OHSU Health Pediatric Clinic in November 2019. She accepted a full-time position in February 2020 and is currently the physician chair of the CMH Infection Prevention Committee.
Dr. Peekstok completed her pediatric internship and residency at Goryeb Children’s Hospital and Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University in True Blue, Grenada, and holds a master of public health degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
“The providers work at a professional level but then also a more social, personal level, as well. So we really get to know each other and what’s going on in each other’s lives, and it just creates a nice, friendly work environment,” Dr. Peekstok says. “The patients definitely can sense the positivity and feed off of that.”
Dr. Peekstok enjoys community service activities and is a board member at The Harbor in Astoria, an organization providing advocacy, prevention and support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Her other interests include hiking with her dog, snowboarding, gardening and traveling.
